Start spreading the news...
Last Saturday night at Skate Brooklyn, high energy mini ramp sesh, punk bands and other artists filling the space with a tidal wave of music, and in 10 hours the same four walls would be reflecting the laughs and cheers of children learning to pump the ramp. Skateboarding being the common thread that holds together a culture so vibrant and diverse; a microcosm of the city that influences it and is influenced by it.
Monday arrived with planned events such as the continuation of Skate Night at Epsteins and the return of Old Man Mondays at Homage (for the 30+ crowd). Then a surprise LES park sesh was announced by the Gnarmads promising a "new obstacle" and cash for best trick. The obstacle literally being a "think outside the box" modification by removing some of the fencing above the northern side of the park they created an American sized Euro gap (kicker with a gap up) which was then hard flipped both up and down.

Video of the Week: Rune Glifberg "In Transition" part
Shifting away from NYC skating for a second I wanted to share this really cool series they've been posting up the past few days on the Berrics site. Basically, they've asked 10 skaters best known for transition skating to film a part at a single spot, anywhere. Really enjoyed Rune's part, besides the park being amazing as well as his skating, its got great editing and some fun guest appearances.Check it here!
