Hey everybody, So yeah the forecast is looking kinda sketch but I have little faith in modern weather forecasting technology... thinking positive thoughts that we'll all be shredding Saturday afternoon. In the event of ominous looking weather I'll send an e-mail to the group on Saturday morning to announce game on/off. If it's actively raining or if the ground is soaked we'll have to call it off. Good thing is that there's another skate event on Saturday and it's in Brooklyn and it's indoors and its an all-girls skate jam/demo. Some team called Silly Girl Skateboards will be seshing at the Skate Brooklyn ramp which is a fun place and it's right in park slope. I'll be going and I'm bringing my daughter to show her that girls can rip too. Come and hang with us! I've pasted up the flyer below. A clip of the week And, as always, for your viewing pleasure, I've selected a clip of the week. This is actually a bit more than a clip. It's an entire 15 minute short film that satirically documents the 1960s Montreal street skating scene in the tone of a nuclear attack warning video. I was like, yeah right, i'm not gonna watch this whole thing, and then I just had to. Check out these moves! and the fashion! This video has inspired me to bring a socket wrench to all my classes. My new mission is to loosen every ones trucks... no tight trucks!! grab some popcorn, dim the lights and feast your eyes on this little gem: No rain, just loose trucks, mellow sessions and chill runs!
