Yo! Perfect skate weather out there this week and looks like it will continue into the weekend for our 2nd class of the Fall! Hope to see you all back out there, we'll be stepping it up with carving techniques, more stance exercises, and of course a bonus trick! Regular, goofy, fakie, or switch? We'll figure that out so you don't sound like a total kook out on the street. If you've never been to a class or if you've been to a bunch there'll be something to challenge yourself and have fun chilling with all of us! Just let me know if you'll need to rent a board and/or pads so I'll know how many to bring. Other news: Help spread the word! Bring a friend, like/share us on social media, and if you're a hashtagger hook it up at #skateyogis Andy Kessler Day Skate Contest Saturday Sep 21 3-6pm House of Vans in Williamsburg is this cool private indoor skatepark I've never been to because I'm always afraid it will be too mobbed or whatever lame excuse I come up with to avoid a trip to north Brooklyn. Well, I'm thinking of finally going to check it out and I thought it would be tight to roll in with the skate yogis crew. Let me know if you're down for checking it out after class (even if you cant make it to class). More info. BAM Skateboarding is not a crime Film Series Monday Sep. 23 @ 7pm Urban Asanas posted a link to this on Facebook. I checked out the remaining schedule of this series and looks like next Monday would be pretty chill. It's two short films of real old-school skateboarding (like mid 1960s) and one documentary on the origins of pool skating. If anyone's down to join, bring their boards, and maybe grab a drink nearby afterwards lemme know! Here's the details. Peace, Kevin
