SKATEYOGI weekend forecast 12/26: yuletide vibes, indoor ramp weather and santa shredding

merry happy and all that!

Hope you all had a nice Christmas or simply a chill day off if that's not your steez... got mad chilly but that didn't stop POW skateboards from hosting a morning sesh at LES. I even heard Santa made a visit for a few rips around the frozen concrete. At our household the little one was up without delay at 5:45am and found her very first proper skateboard under the tree! It's a Silly Girl Skateboards mini deck which is slightly smaller than an adult deck, perfect for little rippers! Silly was so stoked to see the post of her opening it that they shared it on their instagram for their Christmas morning post.


Not a lot on deck for this weekend for the NYC skate social scene but SKATEYOGI classes are on as regularly scheduled. Adults on Saturday at 11am; Kids on Sunday at 11am. Come get your last runs on 2013 in!! 

A couple months ago I said that Halloween was probably skateboarding's favorite holiday. Dont think I'm gonna back up on that but based on the amount of xmas related skate clips I've seen this year I'm gonna say this takes a close second. Lowcard Magazine takes the cake this year with their clip of Santa shotgunning a beer and then absolutely destroying a bowl with his merry elves. Check it out.
