Thailand was rad!
The purpose of our trip was mainly for my better half's work, who happens to be doing work for a travel company that focuses on sustainable community-based travel in northern Thailand. We spent the whole trip chilling around the countryside learning about agricultural life and visiting different tribes to learn about their beliefs and traditions. I made use of the opportunity to do some cultural exchange in the form of skateboard clinics at schools in the tribal villages we visited along the way. Smiles and high fives broke the language barrier and before long the kids were shredding! It was one of those trips that felt much longer than it actually was, and now, back in Brooklyn, familiar places appear slightly different. That clarity you get from experiencing something brand new and coming back with fresh perspective–Can't wait to share these stories and experiences with all the SKATEYOGI students! SKATEYOGI News: Summer Camp SKATEYOGI Summer Camp 2016 registration is now open! This year we will run for 6 weeks from July 5 through August 12.
