Do Something About It!
Last Saturday, SKATEYOGI got to be a part of a youth skate clinic hosted by the Skatepark Project, Pablo Ramirez Foundation, and Council Member Crystal Hudson at Golconda Skatepark. It was a great event where participants got free skateboards and helmets, and we got to host a skate clinic!
There, I overheard someone making a comment about how filthy the park under the BQE tends to get. (Sadly, it's a wonderful habitat for pigeons.) So I mentioned to them you can file a claim on 311 online. That's what I do whenever I encounter parks or playgrounds that are being neglected. Next time you see a skatepark that needs some attention, please take action! Make some noise!
Our summer camp is wrapping up, but we still have a 2-day camp on Tue 9/3 & Wed 9/4 before school starts if you haven't had a chance to join us yet or would like to end your summer on a high note!
Please note that SKATEYOGI is closed during the Labor Day weekend.
Our fall programs will start on Sat 9/7! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us!
Have a nice holiday weekend!!
