​SKATEYOGI will soon be getting its own space! It's been a fun journey getting to this point. We started out teaching skateboarding classes outdoors and have shared space with Skate Brooklyn for the past three years. We wouldn't be here without all the love and support from the SKATEYOGI community!  

Construction has begun on a dedicated indoor skate studio across the park in Prospect Lefferts Gardens located at 140 Empire Boulevard b/w Franklin and Bedford Aves . It's a 5-minute walk from the Botanic Garden exit at the Prospect Park B/Q/S subway station and B41 bus stop. Other options include the 2/5, B16, B43, B44-SBS, B48, and B49. A small parking lot in front of the space makes travel by car very convenient.

Please note current SKATEYOGI classes and programs will remain in the current location through December 21. We will transition the afterschool program and group classes over to the new space starting December 22 along with lots more offerings!

We are so excited about our dedicated space for learning, creating and shredding! The indoor skate area will serve as our “studio” with movable ramps and obstacles. Just like a real-life version of Minecraft, we will get creative setting up different configurations to skate on. This will help adjust for different ability levels and provide a unique experience for each session. And when the weather is nice, we’re only a short walk away from a skate adventure amongst the trees and wildlife in Prospect Park.

We will be opening registration for the Winter afterschool session soon and would love to have current students continue. Stay tuned for more info on our opening party and a special edition of SKATEYOGI Day Camp over the winter holiday break on Dec 22-23and Dec 27-30 where the kids will help us design, build and decorate some of the new features for the space!
