I'm here at the space and just played a game of SKATE with two guys that came in to skate on this rainy evening. One of them was almost landing some pretty smooth tre flips and I heard him say to his friend "Man, I gotta get back into skating". Brought a smile to my face!

Speaking of skate fun, take a look at this quick recap video of last week's Holiday Break Day Camps. Gives a nice inside look at the space in action if you haven't been able to visit in person yet.

We will be open until 7pm today, Monday January 2nd. Come through for some post-holiday shopping and learn about our programs! We'll also have an open skate for $10 so you can skate the space on this rainy day. (Under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian). Purchases over $100 earn you a free open skate ticket.

Registration open for MLK and Mid-Winter Recess Day camps. Pick and choose your days or sign up for the entire 5 days and save $75 (plus score a free SKATEYOGI t-shirt and pad bag). Camps run daily from 8:30am-3:30pm Learn more and sign up here!

Winter afterschool program starts this week! It's not too late to register. We still have some room on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with pickup from select schools. Email me if you'd like to gather a group for pickup at your school! Otherwise drop off is at 140 Empire from 3:15-3:45pm. Sign up here to reserve your spot!

ATTENTION ADULT STUDENTS! Slight change of schedule for Wednesdays. The Adult Basics will start a little earlier and go from 6:30-7:15pm immediately followed by the new Adult Tricks class from 7:15-8pm. This new class is designed for adult beginners that are ready to move beyond the basics or experienced skaters coming back from retirement. Group exercises and guided practice will cover tricks such as ollies, shove-its, 180s, etc. Obstacles and ramps will also be used to challenge students in a supportive environment. Your 5-class card is good for either adult class.

Join us for the adult practice session immediately after class from 8-9pm. Good vibes and high fives in the open skate reserved for adult students who attended either the Tricks or Basics class. In bullet points:

• Adult Basics - 6:30-7:15pm
• Adult Tricks - 7:15-8pm
• Adult Practice Sesh - 8-9pm (reserved for students that attended either class that evening)

Next round of 6-week series starting up the weekend of Jan 7.
Registration links are open for the next series picking back up after the holiday weekends. Due to popular demand we have added an additional Groms Basics Series on Saturdays from 2-3pm. Join a series and progress with the same crew for six weeks! Click here for more info and to sign up .

New SKATEYOGI Teens Class!
Due to a number of requests we have added a teens class to the schedule every Friday from 5:15-6:15pm. Absolute beginners are welcome! Sign up as you go. $30/class includes skateboard and safety gear. Sign up here!
