Celebrating 3 years of SKATEYOGI!

I realized the other day that it has been 3 years since the first group of adult beginners came out to learn how to shred in Brower Park. Back then, the class was taught in collaboration with the yoga studio Urban Asanas, hence the name: SKATEYOGI! 

The classes started out as once a week, then grew to add the kids classes, afterschool and summer camp. What used to be a dream has now been my full-time work since the beginning of last year.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your support, your smiles and friendship, for making SKATEYOGI what it is today! 

And even though most of the programming is now for kids, I'm happy to say the adult class is still going strong. Check the picture above from our Saturday crew a few weeks back, and if weekend mornings arent your thing come and check out the newly added Wednesday night Adult class... namaskate!

Weekend Classes

• Next round of 6-week series starts May 7. Registration open! Click here to sign up now. Classes have been known to fill up pretty quick.
• In addition to the Groms and Groms Plus series we've added a Rise and Grind series that will be held outdoors for a change of atmosphere and to develop new skills. Sundays 9:30am-10:30am (Students must bring their own skateboards and safety gear.)

Adult Classes

• Bringing back the Weeknight Adult Beginners class! Join us on the ramp every Wednesday from 7-8pm for an adult beginner class and stick around for a complimentary adult practice session from 8-9pm (practice session available to any current adult students) Sign up here!

We'll be holding an info session at Skate Brooklyn on Monday, April 18 from 6:30-7:30pm. Come by to hear a presentation, ask any questions and register in person.
