Embracing the Season of Change
Around this time of the year 9 years ago, we got a key to our very first SKATEYOGI location at 140 Empire. Our now teen daughter was 6 then. She would fall asleep in the corner of the front area while we worked around the clock to renovate the space. We needed to make the space ready for skateboarding classes as soon as we could to help offset our expenses. We were open in 2.5 months. There was no magic – just lots of physical (and mental) labor and incredible amount of support from people like you!
