Back on the grind!

Jet lag from the Japan visit has pretty much worked it's way out of the household, no more 3am pancake breakfast sessions and 5 hour mid-day naps, the regular schedule is settling back in. Gripped up a fresh Skate Brooklyn deck with the help of the little one and started to shred that around the past few days of beautiful nyc skate weather we've been having.

SKATEYOGI classes are back in full swing! Lots of energy at last week's kids class. Sign-ups for tomorrow's Groms class have already filled up but there's still a few spots for the Shredders class so if your kid has ridden a board before that would be fine. Sign up here!

With group classes filling up I wanted to say I also offer private lessons on the weekends and weeknights so if you're interested in that just email me at [email protected] for more info. Sign up with a couple of friends for a semi-private to save per student.

Since everyone's back in town we decided to have an open house from noon to 3pm at Skate Brooklyn. Watch a SKATEYOGI class in action, followed by a free ramp jam starting at 1:30pm and ANYONE is welcome to give it a try! We'll be grilling some free burgers and dogs while they last. Also, the Dew Tour Street Team will be there providing some beverages and promoting the skateboard contest they're hosting at the Brooklyn House of Vans next weekend which should be lots of fun. Come and chill at the shop while we still have nice weather!!

I met and skated with this dude in Tokyo last month and like a lot of Japanese skaters was really chill. Bit of surprise to see him jump on his board and bluntslide pop out in the middle of pretty good size ledge. Recently came across this video part and really enjoyed it. Burly, creative style with some pretty unique tricks.
