You Got This!
Ever wonder why everyone is just standing around at the skatepark? Skateboard sessions probably look a little strange to the untrained eye, but there is a harmony behind the seemingly chaotic scene. Similar to a SKATEYOGI class where at some points we have students line up and take turns on some challenge, at a skatepark everyone is actively anticipating their next run. While we wait we cheer on our friends, learn through observation and stay aware of our surroundings for any hazards. Unlike more continuous activities such as running and bicycling, trick skateboarding is performed in short focused bursts of energy. Afterwards, we recharge both physically and mentally for our next turn. So if you see your little skater relaxing a bit in between turns, that is totally fine, since they need that time to let off steam before locking in again. See you at the sesh! Kevin
