Kevin's Trick Tip: Manuals
A manual is a skateboarding trick that looks similar to doing a wheelie on a bicycle. With a skateboard we are balancing while riding on only 2 wheels (either the front or back two wheels). This is a versatile trick that you can use for combos, doing other tricks before or after the manual on a variety of obstacles. It's a fun challenge for balance and some skaters get really creative with different ways to perform the trick. In the sequence above you can see one of our students riding up a ramp and doing a manual down the incline pad. Here's a few things to keep in mind when trying a manual:
