SKATEYOGI Dew Tour meetups this weekend!

Beautiful weather ahead!!

Keeping the small talk to a minimum so I can go skate. Lots of fun in store for the SKATEYOGI community this weekend!

SKATEYOGI Dew Tour meetups!!

The Dew Tour is coming to Brooklyn this weekend and they hooked up the SKATEYOGI community with some advance bracelets so we can go check out the action! The event is free and open to everyone! There's an indoor street contest at the House of Vans on Saturday. On Sunday it's the signature Streetstyle contest outside the HOV where they'll set up a course using NYC street elements like taxis and dumpsters.

As much fun as it will be to watch the events I wanted to think up a way to get everyone involved as well. So, both days we'll be meeting up at Skate Brooklyn and making our way over to the event! Adults on Saturday and families on Sunday. Bracelets are limited so email [email protected] to RSVP for either day, otherwise they'll be given out first come first served. SATURDAY: Adult Chill Skate & Ride (21+)
Mellow paced, chill skate and/or bike ride from Skate Brooklyn to House of Vans (4.7 miles) with plenty of pit stops along the way.

• Noon - meetup at Skate Brooklyn (78. St. Marks Place)
• 12:30pm - depart Skate Brooklyn on boards and bikes
• 1-2pm - burgers and beers at Soda Bar (629 Vanderbilt Ave)
• 2-3pm - chill skate / bike ride to McCarren Skatepark in Greenpoint (corner of Lorimer st and Bayard St)
• 3-4pm - skate sesh / hang at McCarren park while we wait for stragglers.
• 4-5pm - head to nearby Turkey's Nest for some more adult beverages
• 5:30pm-ish - House of Vans for Dew Tour Street Finals

SUNDAY: Family Meetup and Skate Sesh

• 1:30pm - meetup at Skate Brooklyn (78. St. Marks Place)
• 2pm - depart Skate Brooklyn on bikes, carpool or public transportation.
• 2:30-3:30pm - skate sesh / family chill time at McCarren Skatepark (corner of Lorimer st and Bayard St)
• 3:30-4pm - group skate / walk over to House of Vans (0.7miles)
• 4pm - House of Vans for Streetstyle Event

Finally hooked up a SKATEYOGI YouTube channel and debuting with a one minute clip of last Sunday's BBQ at Skate Brooklyn. Thanks to everyone who came out to skate, help with the bbq or just hang out. We'll have to do that again!!
