SKATEYOGI weekend forecast 3/16/14: Sunday Late Edition

Reporting live from within the weekend!
So yeah these ideally go out on Thursday afternoons sometimes Friday mid-day at the latest but in the spirit of better late than never here goes!! Straight to the point: classes are on as always today! Looking forward to seeing the Groms at 11am and the Shredders at 12:30pm!!

GRO NYC x House of Vans
Took the whole family to stop by the ladies only skate session last night at the House of Vans and it was poppin! So dope to see the ladies shredding! Be on the lookout for pics and video coverage of the event or just go lurk on the instagram feeds to get an idea of the radness. Hopefully they'll be doing more of those!

No Adult class next Saturday, March 22.
Even skateyogis need a break so next saturday there will be no adult class or private lessons. Sunday's kids classes are still on though!

Clip of the week
I've been talking alot about how skateboarders on the east coast cope during the winter months, usually hibernating at some indoor miniramp spots. A personal staple this winter has been the old man monday sessions at Homage. Mass Appeal just posted their first video in the Winter Blues series and they filmed it at one of these sessions a few weeks back featuring Danny Falla and Jimmy McDonald, both 5boro pros and old man regulars. If you squint you'll see me cheering from the deck.
