Good Morning! Coming off a hype weekend with some free time to sesh this monday morning with no plans and beautiful weather, psyched to see some friends at the park haven't seen in a few. "Skating solo is fun, but it's nice to get a high five every now and then". Couple hours into the sesh, mid joke, throwing out a silly trick, shove it to one foot landing, but that one foot didn't quite land where it should and all of a sudden caught upside down landing on the palm but too fast to property tuck and roll so the right elbow pops the wrong way just for a quick sec and the looks on the faces confirm the tweak was as bad as it seemed but luckily not any worse. Initial worries of a fracture were dissipated but still went to grab a cup of ice and dump it into the bodega bag for some DIY first aid. Made a stop in at the medical clinic and got the thumbs up that it was indeed a sprain and not a break so only minimal disruption to the autumn shred season. Still pushing but keeping those wheels pretty close to the ground for now. Gonna use this as a quick lesson in our classes this weekend that many times the worst falls come from moments when you've lost focus and maybe only doing something simple. It's the paradox of the stray pebble. SKATEYOGI classes! Adults class starts soon at 11am, been fun getting them grown ups to shred! Tomorrow we got the kids classes at 11am and 12:30pm. The 11am Groms class is almost full so sign up soon if you're trying to come. Otherwise, the Shredders class is good for any kid that's at least somewhat comfortable on their skateboards. Click here for class sign ups. Last weekend's Dew Tour meetups were a fun excuse to get the SKATEYOGI community out and about. Probably gonna throw together a quick clip of some of the action but for now here's a group shot from the Family meetup on Sunday. Good times!! Video of the Week: Polar Skate Company's Manhattan Days Nice little montage Polar put together skating around town with a shopping cart, pole jam and some diamond plates.
