Try something new and watch the seeds grow!
Most of my time is spent in teaching mode, so it is refreshing for me on Friday afternoons to go over to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden to attend my weekly tai chi class. Not only am I one of the most novice students in this intermediate level class, but I am also the youngest by several decades. I've noticed it brings me a new perspective, even to my lifelong skateboarding practice.
Being open to learning new things and making new friends is a wonderful reminder of the experience our students have whether they're 4 or 40 stepping on a skateboard for the first time.
