Yesterday was International Go Skateboarding Day, the official kick off of the summer skateboard season. Our summer campers joined in the fun at an event at the newly reopened Brooklyn Banks. They felt the energy of the NYC skate community and witnessed some top tier tricks go down on the 9-stair, rail and down ledges. After this I skated from downtown to Williamsburg to join another GSD event. Along the way I saw skaters out and about, nodding heads and going in different directions. There was a buzz in the air on our holiday that was a nice reminder of how fun and freeing it is to push around.
Looking forward to keeping that energy going through the summer camp season! Kevin
