Trick or (dog) treat!

Wassup dogs!!

Seems this week there's been a lot of skate dogs popping up in different places...

First, I received my copy of See Spot Shred. A rad book illustrated by local skateboarder Dylan Goldberger featuring 26 different dog species shredding through the alphabet. The kids in afterschool loved reading along! You can order your copy at the link here.

Then, I came across skate company Shake Junt dropping a part from team pet Murdy the dog and he totally rips! Not just your average carving pooch. This dog is riding down steps, grinding curbs and doing tricks on quarterpipes. Check it embedded below.

Then I see our friend Emmy Park who recently had an Amigo Skate Cuba photo show, had posted a link to pictures she took of the Thompkins Square Dog Halloween Costume Parade. Check the link here and dont miss the Marty McFly costumed dog complete with hoverboard :)

Ghoulie Groms and Spooky Shredders!
Continuing the SKATEYOGI tradition, students are encouraged to attend class this weekend in costume if it's comfortable to skate in. Something special about adding a skateboard to a Halloween costume. Working on mine right now :)

Registration open for next round of 6-week series starting Nov 7
The Saturday Groms Series is now full but there are still some spots left in the Groms Plus on Sundays at 11am for kids who have a little SKATEYOGI experience, or for quick learners. Also some spots left in the Shredders series for the intermediate skaters looking to learn some more complicated tricks. Spots are limited to 6 students per class so click here to sign up today!

Adult Beginners classes!
Just a reminder we now have two adult beginner classes. One on Saturdays at 11am and another on Thursdays at 7pm. After class on Thursdays from 8-9pm we have the ramp reserved for any current adult students to come practice in a chill environment. Come join the fun and bring a friend! Sign up here
