Groms are the Future!

​Sometimes I get the question "What is a grom?" and my quick response is to explain it's a term for a younger skater. It does not necessarily mean a newbie. Some groms rip while others are just starting out. I think what's most important is the understanding that these groms are the youngest members of our skate tribe.

Besides showing them tricks and techniques, older skaters like our instructors are also passing along the culture of skateboarding; history, style and etiquette. Naturally, the younger shredders reinterpret this information and make it their own. There is mutual respect in this cycle, keeping skateboarding innovative and alive.
